A Wide Range of New Products for America’s Best-Selling Vehicle Category
It is no secret that trucks and SUVs are keeping U.S. automotive sales thriving, with OEMs adding new variants of crossovers and light trucks regularly—more than ever before in the last 15-or-so years. The recent North American International Auto Show, for example, saw the unveiling of three major truck releases—all from American manufacturers—likely to heighten truck sales even more in 2018. Automotive News reports that all five of the top-selling vehicles for 2017 in the United States were either trucks or SUVs, with the same trend projected for this year.
This spurt of steady, reliable truck/SUV sales has been a veritable playground for the automotive aftermarket to accommodate. The result of this was more than 200,000 net sq. ft. of truck/SUV booth space at the 2017 SEMA Show.
